The Kalisio team is honored to apply its full range of technical expertise to support Airbus UpNext as part of its Optimate demonstrator, which explores innovative technologies that contribute to the safety and efficiency of air travel in the face of growing airport congestion.
As part of this effort, our real-time collaborative mapping solution, Kalisio Maps (also known as Kano), guides the Airbus UpNext ground vehicle on the taxiways at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport. It is an essential component of the virtual flight assistant, designed to support strategic decision-making and streamline interactions between pilots, air traffic control, and airline operations centers.
Our participation allows the demonstrator to benefit from our contributions to a previous demonstrator and from the GIFT platform, which provides real-time geographic services to an ecosystem of applications dedicated to flight testing.
This collaboration reinforces our commitment to the safety and reliability of critical systems. Indeed, the final phase of the demonstrator will involve using the virtual assistant during a door-to-door mission supported by autonomous systems on an Airbus A350 test flight. It also demonstrates the ability of a player in the open-source software and mapping data sector to provide innovative and operational solutions to the aviation industry.
